My first time at this venue to watch an amazing tribute band. The venue, whilst stripped back and basic, was absolutely perfect for this sort of rock vibe. The bar staff were wonderfull, friendly and chatty and the service superb and the crowd was amazing. Can't recommend enough.

The Marrs Bar: A Local Gem for Musicians I stumbled upon The Marrs Bar while in town and was immediately impressed by its cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The bar has a rustic charm, with exposed brick walls, vintage decor, and a relaxed vibe. It's the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a drink while listening to live music. One of the highlights of The Marrs Bar is the open mic nights every Wednesday. It's a great opportunity to hear a variety of talented musicians, from seasoned pros to aspiring artists. The atmosphere is supportive and encouraging, and everyone is welcome to participate. I had the pleasure of attending an open mic night and was blown away by the quality of the music. The musicians were incredibly talented and performed a diverse range of genres, from folk and blues to rock and pop. It was a fantastic experience to hear such a variety of music in one place. In addition to the open mic nights, The Marrs Bar also hosts live music events throughout the week. I had the opportunity to see a local band perform one night, and it was a great way to experience the local music scene. The sound quality was excellent, and the band was incredibly talented. The staff at The Marrs Bar are friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. They make you feel right at home and create a warm, inviting atmosphere. The bar also has a great selection of drinks, from craft beers and cocktails to wine and spirits. Overall, I had a fantastic time at The Marrs Bar and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys live music. It's a hidden gem that you won't want to miss. Here's a summary of my experience: * Atmosphere: Cozy, welcoming, and rustic. * Music: Open mic nights every Wednesday, live music events throughout the week, and a variety of genres. * Staff: Friendly, welcoming, and helpful. * Drinks: Great selection of craft beers, cocktails, wine, and spirits. * Overall: A fantastic experience for anyone who enjoys live music.

well what can I say except what a bloody fabulous evening!!! Flloyd on the door was the perfect start, the amazing bar staff especially the lady that appreciated our need for everything to be diet (even the vodka hahaha) and then the acts! we came in towards the end of the first act before the Coldplay tribute. He was amazing and truly warmed up the crowd perfectly. Then the main act! even if you aren't a hardcore Coldplay fan, you need to experience them. Without a shadow of doubt they were amazing. The vibe in the entire place was electric and the act is by far the best Coldplay tribute I have ever seen. you'd be hard to tell them apart from the actual band!!! thank you Marrs Bar for a truly awesome night.

It needs investment, but it doesn't need enthusiasm it has in spade fulls. To have a live music in the city many nights of the week is quite exceptional. Well done and highly recommended.

The venue is quite intimate, but big enough to get a decent crowd in. The selection of drinks is really good and at a reasonable price. You usually get ripped off for expensive refreshments at gigs, but The Marr's Bar is an exception to the rule. Staff were friendly service was good. We saw The Wizards of Oz who were a great tribute to Ozzy Osborne. The sound quality was very good and to be honest, I couldn't find fault with the place.
